How Consignment Works

We can streamline the process to ensure you are getting the services you need.

How do I submit my pieces?

Please email pictures of your items to: carriagehouse@telus.net. We will evaluate your photos and call or email you with our questions within 48 hrs.

How do you determine the price?

In most cases we will price your items prior to delivery if possible. However, The Carriage House reserves the right to lower the suggested price if there is damage undetected by emailed photo’s.

Commission and payment

Our commission split is 50/50 on the net selling price (net of designer commissions and/or credit card charges). Credit card sales will be charged to the consignor at 3% of the gross selling price. Consignors are paid within 30 days of the sale of the item.

Return policy

The Carriage House does not take returns on any sold item. Should a consignor wish to pick up any item prior to termination of  the contract a storage fee of 5% of the cost of the item will be charged and the fee must be paid prior to pick up.

Pickup and delivery

The consigner is responsible for shipping to The Carriage House. We can recommend a professional delivery service. 

Your insurance policy

The consignor is responsible to keep household insurance on each of their items for the duration of the contract. The items are the property of the consignor until purchased.
